The US-based team delivered utility infrastructure software key to the complex mechanism of turning individual Adobe product builds into Creative Suite builds and delivering them for both physical and electronic release. Then worked on Adobe’s digital signing infrastructure. The Beijing-based team delivered software systems that allowed Adobe engineering and quality teams to rapidly create and execute automation workflows with clean virtual machine images handling the entire overhead of machine provisioning and allocation. Acted as product owner for both teams in the scrum process and advised the teams and management of progress and issues.Led the Seattle-based part of the Release Engineering team in Adobe’s Engineering Solutions Group (ESG). This team was responsible for all build and release activity for Adobe's Core Technology group. The team was also responsible for the continuing development of the Overmind python-based automated build system. Managed task allocation on Core Tech build issues along with scheduling and planning around Core Tech's branch management process. Increased communication across product groups and with other departments.Managed a team of eight engineers in the Applications Group. This group was responsible for all end user GUI-based MrSID applications from LizardTech. After LizardTech acquired the DjVu technology and product line, led the Applications group as it gained knowledge of the new code base and assumed responsibility for delivering many of the products.Led the design and development of the MrSID Publishing Macintosh product line. This line consisted of a Photoshop file format plug-in, a QuarkXPress plug-in, a web browser plug-in and a standalone viewer application. Acquired detailed knowledge of the MrSID API and code base to port parts of it to the Macintosh platform. Designed and developed the MrSID Workgroup Encoder application. Designed and implemented a cross platform high-level API to ease development of the Workgroup encoder. This API was used by Windows contract developers to more rapidly deliver the Windows version. -

Managed a three-engineer development team creating specifications and schedules for the project. Ported the Macintosh code base of the core server to Windows using the Win32 API. -

OPEN was a remote workflow automation tool that allowed users to configure the automation of off the shelf applications. The system could control both Macintosh and Windows applications. It consisted of a Macintosh Server application responsible for the management of files as they traverse the system, and Satellite applications for both Macintosh and Windows responsible for converting commands from the server to interapplication communication commands appropriate to that platform. Along with the development of these applications, this system required the design and implementation of a cross-platform communication protocol allowing the Server and Satellite applications to communicate with one another. It also required the creation of a Software Development Kit (SDK) for use by third-parties to better integrate applications into the system. -
