Mike is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP). He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Simon Fraser University specializing in Finance and Marketing. In 2002, he joined the SMG Group of Companies. He holds several key positions within the different SMG-related entities under the parent company of SMG Asset Canada Inc. He is the Executive Vice President of SMG Advisors Inc. (Personal Financial Planning Firm), and the President of SMG Securities Inc (Exempt Market Dealership).Mike is also the Chief Operating Officer of SMG Power and SMG BioPower – both are biomass energy venture capital partnerships involved in the investment of clean energy technology companies and projects. The companies invested are engaged in the R&D of clean energy technologies and the supply of clean energy products to industrial users and independent power producers.
