Joined the Corrugated Industry in 1976 as a labourer in a Sheet Conversion Plant as a stop gap before going onto join the army but never left the industry. Worked through all the machines into production management, transferred to an integrated plant in 1981as Corrugator Supervisor. Then Shift Supervisor before specialising in DieCutting ( flatbed and Rotary).In 1985 went back to Sheet Plants as a salesman progressing on to running a small "Inhouse" plant for a Marketing company. Expanded it into a successful sheet plant but left in 1989 to start "Corrugated packaging Merchanting" business. Bought into a Sheet plant as Director and general Manager until business was bought out.In 1992 joined a European machinery sales company as UK sales manager selling conversion machinery throughout UK until 1994 when it was closed. Started Paperboard Machinery selling new and used machinery and have been an independent trader since. M & K Trading was started in 2000 and has expanded year on year. Successful agents in UK for Dong Fang ( Flexo folder Gluers, Printer Slotters, Rotary Die Cutters and high resolution Printers) Shanghai Eterna ( Flat bed Die Cutters and Multipoint gluers). Also specialise in the manufacture of materials handling conveyor and Waste management systems, both manufactured in our comprehensive workshops in Chatteris, Cambridgeshire UK. We have experience in the sales and support of all types of equipment from Corrugator to Casemaker with all the associated ancillary equipment. Inhouse engineers with national coverage with customers and associates on every continent.If i was to say what my particular skills are it would be the in the setting up and improvements in productivity of Corrugated Sheet Plants, Plant layout and machinery upgrades.Drawing on my knowledge gained from nearly 40 years of hands on practical experiences.
