Responsible for $30,000,000 budget for projects in a medical/research environment on Government Installations. Develop and coordinated schedules for multiple ongoing projects. Directly coordinate, supervise and manage Project Managers and Superintendents from more than 70 subcontractors, covering more than 800 workers. With working crew sizes ranging from 40 to more than 100 workers, have recorded a 0 accident and 0 injury record for entire work history. Work within tight restrictions and heavy regulations. Perform as liaison/ambassador to senior military and government leadership. Charged with oversight of construction of complex and critical facilities of high interest and high value for US military. One recent major project was a total renewal of the United States Army Medical Department (MEDCOM) Public Health Command (PCH) Food Analysis & Diagnostic Laboratory (FADL).FADL was a more than $22 million effort over the course 2-1/2 years. The purpose of this project was to provide a modern laboratory to meet the increasing needs of MEDCOM. The renewal encompassed a 46,400 ft2 two-story complex. This was a multiphase project and required the construction of a temporary facility for continued operation of laboratory functions.FADL was a sustainable design project and is undergoing evaluation for a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating of Silver.FADL is the only food analysis and diagnostic serology laboratory complex of its kind in CONUS. It is a Biosafety Level 2 (BSL-2) facility and consists of: laboratory areas for microbiological, chemical and radionuclide analysis of environmental samples, primarily food and bottled water; molecular and serologic laboratory space for diagnostic testing of human samples for exposure to chemical warfare agents and diseases of public health significance; testing of animal samples for diagnosis of animal disease and diseases of military significance; and surveillance of diseases carried by insects.
