The scope of work covers any imaginable feature or system of a medical or laboratory facility. Frequently, the work is performed in operational/occupied spaces, adding a significant level of challenge to the jobs. Types of facilities and areas include: - One-of-a-kind, high value, high tech, forensic and diagnostic laboratories. - Laboratories that are rated Biosafety Level One through Biosafety Level Four. - Operating rooms. - Patient rooms. - Exam rooms. - Public restrooms. - Dining facilities. - Dental clinics. - And so much more...Having performed this work on four different continents, we have a truly worldwide capacity. I manage the Medical Facilities Repair and Renewal program. My territory spans the entire globe with a major presence in more than a dozen locations. Responsible for $30,000,000 budget for projects in a medical/research environment on Government Installations. Develop and coordinated schedules for multiple ongoing projects. Directly coordinate, supervise and manage Project Managers and Superintendents from more than 70 subcontractors, covering more than 800 workers. With working crew sizes ranging from 40 to more than 100 workers, have recorded a 0 accident and 0 injury record for entire work history. Work within tight restrictions and heavy regulations. Perform as liaison/ambassador to senior military and government leadership. Charged with oversight of construction of complex and critical facilities of high interest and high value for US military. One recent major project was a total renewal of the United States Army Medical Department (MEDCOM) Public Health Command (PCH) Food Analysis & Diagnostic Laboratory (FADL).FADL was a more than $22 million effort over the course 2-1/2 years. The purpose of this project was to provide a modern laboratory to meet the increasing needs of MEDCOM. The renewal encompassed a 46,400 ft2 two-story complex. This was a multiphase project and required the construction of a temporary facility for continued operation of laboratory functions.FADL was a sustainable design project and is undergoing evaluation for a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating of Silver.FADL is the only food analysis and diagnostic serology laboratory complex of its kind in CONUS. It is a Biosafety Level 2 (BSL-2) facility and consists of: laboratory areas for microbiological, chemical and radionuclide analysis of environmental samples, primarily food and bottled water; molecular and serologic laboratory space for diagnostic testing of human samples for exposure to chemical warfare agents and diseases of public health significance; testing of animal samples for diagnosis of animal disease and diseases of military significance; and surveillance of diseases carried by insects.

Maintenance Manager – Determined, coordinated, directed and supervised all repairs and maintenance to 79,000 ft2 facility, all production equipment, all vehicles and all supporting equipment. Production equipment includes 2 conveyor lines, 5 process ovens, 5 paint booths, 3 metal clean/pretreatment stations.Project Manager, Engineer – Developed, proposed, coordinated, directed and supervised all equipment and facility modifications and upgrades. Engineered, managed and supervised the fabrication and installation of the following major projects: - New conveyorized paint line. Engineering included overhead conveyor system, infrared oven system, dry-off oven system, 4-stage wash and pretreatment system, integrated electrical control system and system layout. - Wastewater treatment system. - Major rerouting of an overhead conveyor system.Quality Manager – Coordinated and assumed overall responsibility for the quality system. Worked with customers (internal and external) to resolve all quality issues. Developed and implemented procedures for ensuring positive quality assurance.Accomplishments: - Ingenuity and ability to perform engineering allowed completing several major projects, in-house, for a savings of nearly $560,000 below lowest contractor bids. - Modifications to equipment, facilities and processes yielded annual savings of nearly $290,000. - Combined skills in project management, quality management and customer relations directly yielded an increase in annual sales in excess of $1,000,000.

Analyzed work orders, trouble tickets, and verbal trouble calls to prioritize and coordinate assignments of maintenance personnel and resources.Nuclear Power Plant Supervisor – Directed and supervised operation of a nuclear reactor, the associated steam plant and the associated electrical power generation plant.Project Manager – Directed and supervised all electrical system/component modifications to a nuclear submarine.Accomplishments: - During one 3-month refit period, directed and supervised more than 250 major electrical projects. Those projects involved more than 40,000 man-hours of production work. During this refit, directly responsible for successfully coordinating the installation and testing of a “steam casualty electrical recovery system” in a single refit. The first such a task has ever been completed. - Recognized by west coast fleet maintenance facility. Directly responsible for taking the submarine in the worst state of repair (electrically) to being the best in the fleet.

Supervised 10 personnel on a motor winding line and 5 personnel in die cast rotor assembly. Operated each of the machines involved in casting, winding and assembling motor stators. Inspected, tested and repaired motor windings. Inspected and tested motor rotors. Participated in the transition to being ISO 9000 certified.
