Over my career, I’ve led a large a diverse set of startup, software, and social projects; one key to success has been my ability to blend EQ, IQ and strategic thinking to drive thought leadership and deliver success.I am an accomplished senior leader with extensive software industry experience, building and leading international teams, leading startups and mature businesses both inside and outside Microsoft and developing several internationally patented innovations. Over the last few years, I have been combining my experience and passion for giving back by shifting my focus toward making a global social impact, including building Microsoft’s Community Development program that supports 50+ global communities. Having recently retired from a 20 year career at Microsoft, an active board member of a Global Health non-profit, a Mentor-in-Residence with a focus on corporate social responsibility and social entrepreneurship at the University of Arizona, and an early-stage investor, advisor and board member of numerous non-profit and for-profit start-ups.ACCOMPLISHMENTS- Launching and leading Microsoft’s Community Development organization, including a $6M community grant program, and a datacenter academy program, training students in partnership with 7 community colleges/technical schools in 3 countries- Building and leading teams in 10 countries US, UK, Brazil, China, India, Ireland, Poland, Egypt, France, Germany- Leading the Bing product launch in 75 markets which in turn helped grow Microsoft’s international search revenue 10x from $80M- Leading 8 startup ventures both inside and outside Microsoft PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES Building & Leading High-Capacity Teams |Community & Workforce Development | Corporate Social Responsibility | Entrepreneurship | Executive Influence | Global Product Development | P/L Ownership | Software Engineering | Strategic & Tactical Planning
