I have more than 25 years of experience in the corporate and M&A practice. I focus my practice on public and private M&A, private equity and venture capital transactions, as well as corporate advisory work, including governance issues and joint ventures. I was recommended by the Legal500 2018.My clients include U.S. and European multinationals, high-tech organizations, companies in the EMI industry and large and midsize domestic corporations. Also, I am frequently retained by clients on corporate and stakeholder strategic (legal) issues. Before joining Jones Day Amsterdam, I have worked at the Amsterdam's corporate practice of Baker & Mckenzie Amsterdam for more than 20 years where I was appointed partner in 2001 and served, amongst others, as managing partner and chairman of the board for five years. Since July 1, 2016 I have joined the Amsterdam office of Jones Day where I lead the Corporate/M&A practice. I hold several fiduciary positions with larger corporates and institutions and I am a member of the European Venture Capital Association, the International Bar Association, the Dutch Bar Association (NOvA) and I am included in the list of experts by the Enterprise Chambers of the Amsterdam Court of Appeal.
