The Salt Lake City Recruiting Battalion covers the largest geographic area in the states, consisting of Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Nevada, Montana and small corner of Oregon and Arizona. Even though there are three major installations in the Battalion's area of operation, most of the recruiting stations are geographically remote from them. In most cases, it will be in recruiter's best interest to live within the recruiting area to which they are assigned. With the work hours in recruiting, travel time to and from work, time should be limited to the least amount possible to provide more quality time spent with the family.
