Global group leader for lab automation and lab support professionals within Astrazeneca's R&D IS Organisation.Responsible for delivering global laboratory IT roadmap across R&D within the Astrazeneca and Medimmune organization.Provides both strategic direction and technical leadership for the development of automation and support strategies, implementation of automation and support technologies, and the execution of all operational requirements.Lead an innovation and technology initiative through identifying and testing transformational technologies to support the science carried out across R&D. This stretches across Data, IoT, and user interaction.Introduced 3D printing as an internal capability within the organization to prototype novel parts and repair obsolete instrument parts.Work with TAs to understand digital health needs and support multiple patient-centred digital health projects across therapy areas, from initial engagement all the way through to ensuring implementation of digital health tools into clinical trials and beyond.Develop and manage relationships with external technology and service providersDevelop communication strategy to raise visibility of digital health across the organisationIncrease presence in digital ecosystem through coordinating and hosting digital health events, industry networking and accelerator memberships
