- Performed a leading role in the recruitment efforts, creation of incentive packages and ultimately the development on numerous large scale retail/commercial developments effectively redeveloping blighted areas in Kingsville,Texas. These efforts garnered $11 million dollars in new investment for Kingsville in 2012, up 14% year over year.- Hired as an Executive staff member reporting directly to the City Manager and City Commission responsible for the direction and management of the Planning Division, Building Services Division, and the newly created Community Appearance Division (Code Enforcement).- Provided the research, development and authoring of several landmark city plans, including the 2012 Comprehensive Housing Plan, the 2012 Enhanced Corridor Landscape Plan, the 2012 Dumpster Enclosure Initiative and numerous ordinance amendments pertaining to development regulations and community appearance. - Initiated and lead in the City’s efforts to support business growth and economic development including recruitment of international and domestic businesses to Kingsville, TX, thereby increasing investment and tax revenue for the City.- Actively served on numerous Boards and Commissions including the Community Alliance Implementation Board, Economic Development Council, Career & Technical Education/Workforce Development Task Force and the Keep Kingsville Beautiful Organization.

During my term I served as the Parks Commissioner and successfully led efforts in local fundraising and financial management which resulted in significant City Park improvements including, but not limited to, new bleacher improvements to Heritage Park, new amenities in the Downtown City Park, including horseshoe pits, sand volleyball pit improvements as well as the formation of the Community Park Clean-Up day. Fundraising goals and efforts were also established toward the replacement of the existing concession stand at Heritage Park, which was successfully completed after my departure.
