TRAFFIC MANAGER, January 2013 / July 2020As the Traffic Manager, I oversaw the daily operations for Hayden-McNeil's Editorial Department as well as all in-house production which included Production Editors, Illustrators, Designers, and Proofreaders. I managed a team of freelancers that were used to support our Design and Proofreading Departments throughout our production season.. I also supported our sales team on a daily basis with quotes, pricing, sales/marketing requests, mock-ups and production/manufacturing requirements. PRODUCTION & WAREHOUSE MANAGER, June 2000 / January 2013As the Production and Warehouse Manager I was responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations for manufacturing (printing and binding) which included setting and maintaining of all schedules, revising schedules as needed, selecting vendors, negotiating pricing, researching new vendors, and providing feedback on quality concerns. I was also responsible for all warehouse operations which included overseeing the design and build out of two warehouses which included the purchasing of equipment, racking and forklifts. I oversaw the daily shipping and receiving of finished goods, product invoicing, monthly, quarterly and annual cycle counts as well as dealing with customers on back orders, shipping dependencies, routing guides, third party billing requirements and expedited requests. In the 24+ years that I managed Production, Manufacturing and Warehousing, Hayden-McNeil was never late with delivering finished product to campuses prior to classes beginning.
