I love to solve problems. Be it from my woodworking hobby or helping a customer decide what product is best for their specific problem and need or it could be how to improve an internal process or help a technician in the middle of the night offshore who is having problems during an installation somewhere in the world. I have enjoyed over 26 years in the Offshore Oil and Gas Industry. I have been fortunate to have worked with 2 great companies in this time, actually just one as the company I worked for was bought by another company. I have been fortunate to work in field operations, assembly, sales and manufacturing of pipeline repair connectors. This has given me a more complete understanding of business from many angles and has made me a better manager and person in general.I have been responsible for department budgets, P&L, maintenance and training of personnel. My department revenue ranged from 6 to 13 MM per year with a 45% margin. I think the thing I am most proud of is the fact I built a service and installation department from the ground up and had the best group of installation technicians in the world. I had the pleasure of training them on equipment, processes and maintenance, however I always managed to learn something from them as well.
