Maintains situational awareness of current global operations and prepares to recommend nuclear and conventional response options to National and Military senior level leadership in the event such a situation arises. Advises the Deputy Director for Operations on the significance of any air, missile, space, nuclear, and domestic activities and serves as the interface between the NMCC and Combatant Commanders.

Squadron Commander of a 760 man Combined Task Force fighting in the Arghandab River Valley of Kandahar Province, Afghanistan in support of OPERATION EDURING FREEDOM XI-XII. Responsible for defeating an enemy insurgent force with an estimated operational strength of 100 fighters dispersed in small groups throughout the area. Protect the Afghan people while connecting them to their local government and improve the development of infrastructure inside the district. Live, train and operate with a partnered Afghan infantry battalion. Maintain, resource and supervise the living conditions, resupply, tactical defense and equipment associated with 17 combat outposts. Supervise expenditures of an annual budget in excess of 3 million dollars. Maintain a command climate that instills Army values and provides for the welfare of the Squadron's Soldiers and their families

Operations Officer for a 2500-man Armored Cavalry Regiment. Responsible for the planning and execution of training and operations conducted in support of the Regiment's dual role to: execute rotational operations at theNational Training Center and to deploy, fight, and win our nationswars. Enabled the Regimental Commander's Command and Control and decision making capabilities in tactical, training, and garrison environments. Responsible for training and supervising the operations of the Regimental Tactical Operations Command Post. Supervises and professionally developed an Operations and Training section consisting of six officers and 32 enlisted Soldiers.
