Cal.).• Obtained dismissal of borrower’s federal predatory lending claims brought against an Illinois Mortgage Banker and its president, Montanez v. Wolfenberger, No. 12 C 50309, 2013 WL 12120058 (N.D. Ill. Oct. 1, 2013), successfully defended on appeal. Montanez v. Wolfenberger, 567 F. App'x 461 (7th Cir. 2014), cert denied, Montanez v. Wolfenberger, 135 S. Ct. 756 (2014).• Obtained dismissal of borrower’s state law claims against an Illinois Mortgage Banker and its president based upon the doctrine of res judicata, successfully defended on appeal.
