Orchestrated management buyout and recapitalization of the business, leading it from <$40M and negative EBIT to >$60M in cashflow positive revenues. Personally oversaw re-branding of the business through an in-house creative team, including the development and management of our cause-based marketing program, "Good Deeds" (petflow.com/good). Successfully exited to a key supplier (Phillips Pet Food and Supply) in January 2017.

Oversaw the process of bringing the company into cashflow-positive operating results and splitting the e-commerce business apart from its internally incubated media business. Architected and deployed a proprietary lifetime value driven marketing intelligence and bidding automation platform and EBITDA positive operating results through optimization of the customer acquisition funnel. Owned P&L, management of ~100 employees, full management responsibilities, and full accountability to institutional board of directors.

Built out the Technology, Finance, and Operations divisions of the company, supporting the company's sustained monthly growth while reducing operating expenses. Led a comprehensive re-platforming of our front end and back end stack on a proprietary postgreSQL e-commerce platform, alongside a proprietary ERP/Quickbooks integration. Built supply chain operations - inventory management, fulfillment, and customer service - from scratch, establishing a best-in-class B2C fulfillment and customer engagement product.

Oversaw all retail buying operations, transportation revenue and contract management, and supplies costs for UncommonGoods. This was headlined by a transition from a single merchant team to segregated product selection and planning teams, the construction of information systems for making order quantity decisions, and the development of risk management rubrics aimed at reducing underage costs on seasonal sales models.

Built and managed a same-day shipping operation to handle 25X seasonal growth (3 month growth from 300 orders per day to 1,000 orders per hour). Sourced 100% in-house staff of >200 seasonal employess. Fulfilled same-day shipping obligations while beating standards for payroll budget and customer experience.
