My extensive work experience includes over 6 years as cheese maker and HTST operator at the Trenton Saputo company and prior to that over 15 years as an assistant cheese maker and production supervisor at the Maple Dale Cheese plant. During this time I have maintained multiple certifications such as a Milk and Cream Grader, Pasteurizer Operator, Dairy Sanitation and Lift Truck operator. I have obtained a strong understanding of the HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) guidelines within the plants to ensure the food safety standards are met and obtained on a daily basis. In addition, I have been heavily involved in internal and external audits of the plants. My daily duties include the sanitization and preparation of the plant equipment to prepare for the manufacturing of the products in the cheese plant. I have a vast knowledge of the procedures and standards set by the company and the industry. With this experience, I have obtained a firm understanding of the industry procedures including Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). I also play an active role as a Joint Health and Safety committee member and obtain a current First Aid CPR/AED certification. In addition, I also train, mentor and provide leadership for new employees and students on the daily procedures, standards and protocols in the plant with an emphasis on safety and performing these daily tasks in a safe manner. I am a very hard worker that enjoys challenges and would love the opportunity to discuss my qualifications further.
