As the manager of the Server Team, my responsibilities included day-to-day management of the team, developing and executing server strategies, resource allocation, and inspiring high performance from the team. I am responsible for signing off on technical designs from the Technical Architects, ensuring the security of the force servers and applications, and overseeing the delivery of server and client issue resolution in line with Service Delivery Standards.I also initiated new strategies to ensure client issues were resolved promptly and thoroughly, communicated and consulted across the force and regional partners, and ensured the accurate and successful accreditation of the forces IT systems in line with the requirements of government policy. I monitor computer system use and ensured the capacity and performance of technical systems meet current and predicted needs.I provided expert advice in the development of the information Shared Service and support the IS Shared Service in the harmonization of processes across both estates. Additionally, I am accountable for budgets and spend within the direct area of influence.
