Fulfilling solution architecture responsibilities on a wide variety of in-house projects stretching from product uplifts required to support a strategic transformation platform for the company's insurance products, through to various cyber-security related activities:* Liasing with the business function, technology partners, and COTS providers to formulate new solutions and bring them through the company's governance framework.* Alignment solutions with the company's global architectural framework to provide cross-OE re-usable solutions.* Solution delivery support within both waterfall led and agile led projects* Focus on Underwriting systems and identity management.* Active member of the highly team-focussed architecture community

Responsible for Solution Architecture for various products within the SITA Voyager and Horizon large-scale transformation programmes to replace their legacy mainframe reservations system with a modern service oriented architecture solution.* Consistently provide solutions that have enabled successful delivery to project milestones within the Voyager and Horizon Programmes.* Identification of both strategic architectures and, where appropriate, transitionary architectures to provide a bridge between the old and the new while meeting cost and delivery constraints.* Technical leadership with multiple offshore outsourcing partners in an agile environment and collaboration with global product definition teams.* Provide subject matter expertise support to other architects within the Horizon programme.* Develop business domain knowledge in key areas of the transformation program to allow functional requirements to be challenged in a positive, pro-active way.* Awarded by the business for enabling a positive, business first attitude towards solution architecture.* Influence at all levels including reference architecture, business strategic thinking, project management, etc.

Architectural responsibility for one of SITA's fares products, in addition to providing architectural support as required to additional projects.Provide SME support to pre-sales teams and cross-functional solution teams within the organisation.

Responsible for between 2 and 12 developers for two separate software projects. In addition to team leading the position involved writing functional specifications, high level designs, installation and operating guides.

Java development with experience in Oracle, SQL, Servlets, XML.

Fourteen month placement as a computer science student. Placement involved providing a graphical user interface for a program developed at CERN called ROXIE that was used to assist with the super-conducting magnet design for the new LHC experiment.

Previous to 1994 followed a separate career path as a Design Draughtsman.
