Successfully managed and grew this multi-location facility, 375+ person (60% agency staff) operation; generating average sales of $2.5M/month and regularly exceeding GM% goals. The senior management team including Engineering, Operations, Warehousing, Electronics Repair, IT, Transportation, Finance, Safety and Quality serviced our client in the communications sector. Warehousing and Transportation grew to include two warehouses (72K and 130K sqft) that provided service to 72 locations via a fleet of 7 semi, and 3 box trucks. Programs such as carton reuse, self-install kits, and JIT inventory control resulted in significant savings for the client. Quarterly Business Reviews with client ownership, as well as daily KPI meetings with upper level client management led to strengthened and positive client relations. Daily review of P&L with Corporate, as well as internal KPI and PPL (Personal Productivity Logs) ensured control of the operation’s success as well as proactively making adjustments to balance revenue and cost.

Continued the development and operations of the Restor Logistics Team; focused on IT requirements as they related to International Logistics Trade Compliance reporting. Duties also included gathering new program requirements, configuration, implementation, and testing of new programs, both domestic and international. Traveled internationally, meeting key customer personnel as well as conducting warehouse audits.

Responsible for establishing processes and procedures designed to guide this small but rapidly growing company to greater levels of success. During these five years, sales more than doubled from $9M to $19M and staff grew from 46 to 118. Focus included controlling/reducing cost, process improvement, organizational growth, cycle time improvement, quality reporting, creating the domestic repair and return logistics capabilities, and production control necessary to meet a growing list of customers and supported technologies. Leadership of the TL9000 Certification team, as well as participation in the QuEST Forum.

PMO leadership; projects include MES replacements and standardization (Brook’s Automation; FactoryWorks), APC/SPC systems, facilitating the deployment of SAP (replacing JDE), material traceability, and organizing a project management approach to all IT related support objectives. Clear and concise communications with both internal and contract staff was the key to successful completion of aggressive budgets and timelines.

Successful management of production throughout the start-up led to an assignment in CIM for technical improvements impacting the entire facility. Constraint theory and knowledge of AMHS systems used throughout the plant (PRI, Daifuku) provided a 24% increase in the maximum load capacity of the Phoenix facility. This increase in production upside potential has led the facility to additional expansion, as production and cost goals have been exceeded.

One of three section Managers throughout the 200mm Si wafer fabrication process. From crystal shaping through etch. Led the process transfer team responsible for authoring/translating operational procedures as well as equipment source inspections in Japan, qualification and certification of the new Phoenix facility with key customers, and the rapid ramp-up of the facility to meet new demand and P&L requirements.Coordination and implementation of DOE, Equipment Eng., Process Eng., Quality, Budgeting (twice annually), Costing, and establishing a winning team of Operations personnel all were achieved successfully.

Responsible for assisting in the start-up of the CVD/Diffusion area of the Phoenix facility. Worked in Photo, Implant, Etch, and Test throughout the start-up as teams were assembled to start plant operations. Attended multiple OEM technical training (Applied Materials, SVG, WJ, and Lumonics).
