Lead editor of the in-house video department. As assistant editor I collaborated with agencies and their clients to bring their creative concepts to life as commercials. For each project I completed an initial review and organization of footage, and prepared all necessary materials to take the approved cut to a finished product ready to air.Responsibilities include:Retrieving dailies and loading, organizing and documenting shot details of all footage based on script notes.Preparing materials (EDLs, AVTCs) necessary for the online process such as VFX and colour correction.On set editing. Often flying across the country to be with the agency during the production processEditing commercials, social videos, sizzle reels, and case studies for a variety of clients including Hyundai, Toyota, Coors, President’s Choice.

As VFX editor I was responsible for ensuring the incoming and outgoing footage from editorial to the VFX studio was 100% accurate and representative of the project at hand.

Responsibilities include:Maintaining various versions of edits sent by editorial and inserting VFX shots into the timeline.Ensuring that shots cut into the sequence were correct in terms of frame count and plate accuracy.Updating the production database (TACTIC) with the correct shot count and frame lengths for all projects.Organizing review sessions with clients, where sequence edits for client approval had been prepared and discussed.Notable Projects include: Orphan Black, the Witch and London Has Fallen.

As the sole in house editor for the agency I created pitch videos, case studies, and commercial adaptations, working closely with creative teams to edit videos which effectively sell through their message to potential clients and to submit to awards.
