Responsible for managing all aspects of construction operations at the Rocky Mountain Rail Park. Rocky Mountain Rail Park is a 620-acre rail served industrial park located near Bennett, Colorado, serving the Greater Denver area.

Responsible for the overall safety, quality, and production on the Port Access Road Project for SCSPA/SCDOT. Primary role managing project staff to ensure timely project delivery. Effective in conflict resolution and mentoring direct reports. Supervise cost reporting and lead regular meetings to ensure accurate job cost data.

Successfully executed the design and planning for greenfield site construction. Led project startup activities, procured construction resources, negotiated with specialty subcontractors, and completed large value purchase orders early-on during project buyout to increase project profits.

Responsible for leading design and technical work groups in preparing RFE drawings, project estimate, and proposal documents. Initiated project site visits to assess project conditions and evaluate risks/opportunities. Worked closely with vendors and specialty contractors to develop innovative concepts and competitive advantage. Obtained all necessary permits prior to construction, working closely with local agencies and adhering to environmental and regulatory requirements for the phased construction of the project. Developed quality control and assurance programs for design and construction, including document control, material testing, and quality verification.

Responsible for the successful planning, design and construction of a wide range of projects. Capital projects experience in commercial and industrial site development. Manage self-perform crews and subcontractors, providing technical assistance to project team, ensuring accurate job cost data, tracking quantities, procuring materials, overseeing quality assurance, coordinating utilities and schedule updates, conducting progress meetings, creating and submitting RFI’s, managing change orders, and submitting monthly draw requests. Decreased overall project duration and overhead costs through modification and redesign of project construction sequence.

Reviewed proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimates. Developed preliminary project schedules using Primavera P6 software. Provided value engineering.
