Lead the interest rate risk management function of the mortgage banking operation with annual loan volumes in excess of $6 billion. Primary responsibilities include ownership of loan pricing strategy, development of the hedging policy, execution of the secondary loan sales and procurement of correspondent investor relationships. As a direct report to the CEO, this role is accountable for mortgage operation P&L performance, including forecasting, budgeting and strategic planning. Below are a few accomplishments I helped lead during my time in this role:Facilitated the smooth transition from the use of Best Efforts to Mandatory delivery in 2014, which accounted for an estimated 30 - 50 bps additional profit on loan sales (approx $120 million+).Implemented a more cost effective and operationally efficient hedge policy by outsourcing the day-to-day trading of MBS to the Optimal Blue/Black Knight hedge advisory firm in 2016.Introduced NASB to a more data driven culture starting in 2019 by working directly with the data analytics team to build optimization models and data visualization tools to strengthen margin and loan pricing, as well as hedging effectiveness.Spearheaded an initiative to overhaul our loan servicing strategy in 2021 by incorporating the recapture value into our customer acquisition cost, resulting in higher retention rate and higher MSR value (approximately $13 million in FY2022).

Conceptualized, developed, and launched the mortgage solutions group, which offered a wide range of services across IT application development, system administration, and process enhancement. Utilized a sharp eye for talent to onboard cross-functional SMEs that provide exceptional service in these areas. Accelerated results by refining processes and integrating new technology.Boosted business retention and client experiences by introducing process mapping and flow charts, which increased operational effectiveness.Incorporated the use of dashboards to optimize data-tracking and pipeline management in collaboration with the data analytics team.Optimized workflows, automated systems, and enhanced workflows; joined efforts with the IT Application Team to resolve Legacy LOS challenges.Directed the search and selection for a new LOS provider in 2020.
