• Develop new modules for a rewrite of Real Green’s flagship product, Service Assistant (rewrite dubbed “Service Assistant.NET”), a well-supported application marketed to lawn care and pest control companies. Service Assistant enables companies to be as efficient as possible regarding the daily concerns of the industry.• Modules introduced were geared toward customer service representatives and included search/review capability for customers, correspondence, financial transactions, services rendered, quick notes regarding a customer to be seen by a technician, etc.• Domain Driven Design (DDD) and Test Driven Design (TDD) have been the goal in terms of development process.• Wrote automated unit tests.• My development team included ~6 people. There are probably ~12 developers in the company.• Continuous integration was strictly enforced. Builds and test runs were automated through Jenkins.• Worked directly a QA team (3-4 people) to quickly find and address bugs in new builds.• Began strict, formal test-driven development for most recent project, a module used for “Production Entry” (essentially a tool for import, correction, and solidification of completed invoices handed in by a technician).• Worked on proof-of-concept solutions to introduce new technical concepts into the project, including the introduction of an inversion-of-control container (Ninject).• Personally introduced (made suggestion, then led a small workshop for the team) NSubstitute as our mocking/faking/proxying/substituting/otherwise-avoiding-invoking-expensive-integration-testing-as-a-side-effect-of-unit-testing tool-of-choice.• Led “workshop” meetings with my team to introduce recent technical concepts with which I had already worked, and decide whether they were a good fit. Also provided direct one-on-one support to follow up when others were trying out the proposed tools/methodologies.• Used Bugzilla, then later Redmine, for tracking bugs/tasks/features and related work.

• Worked with business analysts, client liaisons, and managers to determine technical requirements for new functionality and bug fixes to a range of custom applications.• Developed software using C#, VB.NET, Javascript, jQuery, PL/SQL, ASP.NET MVC 3, ASP.NET Web Forms, AJAX, Visual Studio 2010, and Oracle SQL Developer.• Types of applications/components included: (1) web applications used both externally and internally, (2) services running on middleware servers; typically console applications whose execution was scheduled as a Windows task, (3) PL/SQL jobs run against an Oracle 10g database.• Developed new features and fixed bugs.• Provided real-time support for external and internal users.• Performed a ground-up rewrite of one web application, now called “MarketConnect”.• Tuned PL/SQL views and queries for better performance.• Wrote automated unit tests using NUnit, NSubstitute, and Ninject.• Developed new InspeX Web pages for use by Ford Motors Credit Company (FMCC).• The size of my development team varied greatly throughout my time at AiM, dropping as low as one person (myself) and getting as larger as ~10 people.• Worked directly with a QA team (2-3 people) to quickly find and address bugs in new builds.• Used SharePoint for tracking bugs/tasks/features and related work.
