I founded Bodysmart Health in December 2005 whilst working as a Physiotherapist and doing a Graduate Diploma of business at Curtin University. At the time I saw an opportunity to provide corporate health care services to Perth's growing corporate entities. Bodysmart expanded rapidly through word of mouth referrals to some of the largest multinational companies such as Rio Tinto Group, Woodside Energy, BHP and Inpex. Bodysmart became one of Perth's leading providers of Health and Wellness services, specialising in the field of Ergonomic Consulting and customised Manual Handling Training. Bodysmart has delivered these services to over 500 companies.Other key corporate health offerings include consulting on the selection of office furniture (e.g. chairs, sit-stand desks,monitor arms), health assessments and onsite Physiotherapy services. In 2008 I took over a small physiotherapy practice in the CBD which had been operating unsuccessfully for 10 years. After making a string of changes within 1 year I expanded the clinic to a larger premises and diversified to include Remedial Massage, Chiropractic, Pilates and Gym Rehabilitation services. After several expansions and relocations this practice has expanded and grown to now be the largest single site practice in Perth, engaging a team of 15 talented health practitioners. From our state of the art facility at 179 St Georges Terrace we offer Physio, Chiro, Remedial Massage and Group Exercise Classes (Reformer Pilates and Functional Training) to both individuals and many companies. The key to success has been nurturing and developing great staff, and providing a fun, supportive workplace culture.
