As the Chief System Designer my responsibilities include but are not limited to:- P&L management for the MCA business unit- Customer Management- Quote Management- Strategy Development -Strategy DeploymentOverall I am responsible for growing and improving the profitability of around 50M in total sales.

Historically Birk has focused on the medical, aerospace, semiconductor and industrial markets. As CEO of Birk Manufacturing Mr. Mattox is responsible for all Sales, Customer Service, Operations, Engineering, Quality, R&D and Finance functions.

Multi-faceted responsibilities include designing, implementing and testing drive and control systems, PLC and touch screen programs, and creating machine wiring diagrams, power flow diagrams, communication layouts, electrical blueprints and panel layouts using AutoCAD for extrusion lines that service both the wire and cable industry as well as the plastics industry. PLC programming experience includes RSLogix 5, 500, 5000 with the most experience in the latter two. Responsibilities after construction completion include testing and documenting the machine as well as traveling onsite for installation checkout and start up.• Led a team which developed a new “winder” product line for the company

PLC programming experience includes RSLogix 5, 500, 5000 with the most experience in the latter two. Other responsibilities include utilizing Microsoft Project to ensure the project stays under budget and on schedule as well as overseeing and verifying proper ordering, building, wiring and connection of the electrical systems as well as inspecting and approving the finished construction.
