Responsible for managing the Approved Maintenance Organization’s Quality System & monitoring the AMO’s compliance with the applicable Kenya Civil Aviation Authority’s Regulations & other regulatory requirements and ensuring that it continues to comply with regulatory requirements and the ensuring the organization’s Quality Mangement System continuously meets the needs of the business

Responsible for managing the Quality System and for ensuring that it continues to comply with regulatory requirements and to meet the needs of the business.Ensure that all quality related policies and procedures detailed in the Operations, Quality and Company Exposition manuals are adhered to and carry out an ongoing review of the adequacy and effectiveness of Quality System procedures.Maintain and keep current all Quality Audit and inspection records for review at any time by the relevant regulatory authority and other external bodies as appropriate.Liaise with the revenant Aviation Regulatory Authorities and Civil Aviation Authorities as may be appropriate on matters related to the Quality System.Establish procedures for dealing with non-conformities, monitoring non-conformity reports and taking corrective/preventive action in response to audit findings.Review the Quality Systems of new subcontractors who impact the operation and organize audits of their quality assurance systems.Monitor compliance with and adequacy of procedures to ensure airworthy aircraft at all times via an audit programme and that all maintenance is performed in accordance with Approved data.Monitor all contracted maintenance for compliance with contract conditions relevant to airworthiness and that contracted organisations have the relevant Approvals and facilitiesMonitor all certificate renewals, including renewal test flights, relevant to the certification and operation of each company aircraft.Grant authorisation to individuals to certify the Certificate of Release to Service.Coordinate reports of unairworthy conditions.Define maintenance personnel training syllabus, in conjunction with the Head of Base Maintenance Coordinate all aspects of the Quality Manual amendments/revisions and the negotiation with the CAA regarding any changes required to the documents, or to the Terms of Approval granted by the Authority to the company.

Responsible for providing leadership of the Maintenance Planning,Technical Records and Reliability sections. My role involved administering all Aircraft Technical Records and associated Archives per regulatory airworthiness and safety standard requirements. Continuing airworthiness management of the DHC8-100/200/300 Series, Beechcraft 1900 Series, King Air 200 Series & Cessna Caravan 208 Series aircraftAuditing and examining all completed work packages in preparation for archiving and the update of correlating aircraft tracking/time control system.Plan for and implement accomplishment of aircraft modifications, service bulletins, airworthiness directives as called out by the AOC Post holder-Maintenance / Director of Maintenance for optimized cost whilst maintaining safety standardOriginate, Plan for, implement, analyze and refine short and long-term maintenance activities to meet company business, civil aviation authority and third party requirements. ( This is done in conjunction with the AOC Post holder-Maintenance / Director of Maintenance & Base Maintenance Manager /Production Manager )Evaluation of incoming airworthiness documentation and determination of inspections and modifications to be carried out on aircraft.Initiate the C of A renewal process and prepare the related paperwork/documentation for submission to the Civil Aviation AuthorityFirst line response on all queries regarding Maintenance Planning & Technical Records.

Carry out routine and non-routine maintenance tasks on the ~Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner , ~Boeing 737-700/800 Next Generation, ~Boeing 737-300 Classic & ~Embraer 190 aircraft while ensuring timely completion of tasks to release the aircraft within planned downtime~Assess, troubleshoot and rectify aircraft defects for timely release of aircraft to maintain company flight operations schedule integrity

Prepare aircraft technical records and documentation for annual & mid-term lease inspections, end of lease re-deliveries (Aircraft Phase Out) and sub-lease deliveries on the Embraer 170 & 190, Boeing 737-700 & 800 series, Boeing 767-300, Boeing 777-300ER & Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.Control and Monitoring of Life Limited Parts /Hard Time components, On-Condition/Condition Monitored (OCCM) components and associated technical records for a fleet of 8 B787-8 Dreamliners, 15 Embraer 190-100AR & 8 Boeing 737-800 aircraftsPrepare and compile required aircraft records during annual Certificate of Airworthiness renewal process for submission to the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority. Compile and maintain sound, reliable, efficient and up to date aircraft / component records for reliability and aircraft safety to enhance aircraft operations and maintenance scheduling demands as per the Kenya airways, Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA ) & European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) requirements.Receive, compile and accurately update records in the Company MRO system( OASES) to reflect all aircraft defects, flight hours/cycles and component changes for tracking aircraft and component history and availability to other users and departments.Ensure aircraft records/documents meet the required quality standards & ensuring the safety standards of the airline are maintained to the highest level.Prepare and distribute monthly aircraft and engines utilization status reports to facilitate maintenance Planning.Prepare aircrafts and components flight hour/cycles and send/provide to contracted parties such as owners, Lessors and maintenance providers.File all completed aircraft maintenance documents and regularly transfer the same to technical archives for safe custody in accordance with the KCAA requirements.Segregate and File airworthiness directives (ADs), Service bulletins (SBs), Engineering Orders ,Structural repairs and all aircraft modification accomplishments

• Originate, plan for,implement,analyse and refine short and long term maintenance activities to meet company business, civil aviation authority and third party requirements.• To formulate, organise and execute work plans relating to all technical aspects of aircraft hangar/Base maintenance inputs that will ensure minimum aircraft downtime and optimum use of facilities and human resources.•Plan for and implement accomplishment of aircraft modifications, service bulletins, airworthiness directives as called out by the AOC Postholder-Maintenance / Director of Maintenance for optimised cost whilst maintaining safety standards•Update aircraft, engine & propeller logbooks and complete logbook entries for aircraft maintained by the company• Filing of all completed aircraft maintenance documents in accordance with the KCAA & TCAA Requirements.• Filing of aircraft technical logbook sheets in accordance with the KCAA & TCAA requirements• Invoicing of all aircraft maintained by the company.• Participate in aircraft maintenance whenever work is low in the office or as per instructed.

• Reviews works packs & ensure all items due on tracking, SB, AD Listings are called out.• Filter and vet all maintenance work-packs & reports, before & after maintenance prior to handing them to the hangar floor and back to technical records.• Enter deferred items on defer list& back order items.• Verify and ensure deferred/back-ordered items are complied with.• Enter,compile & analyze reliability data into the company’s C4 Aircraft Alert system.• Download and Record Engine trend data (ECTM & ADAS plus),upload and send data to authorized data analysis centers• Participate in stores parts acceptance checks.
