Sr.Counsel, Inc Senior Care/Business Consultingwww.srcounselinc.comI started in the healthcare industry as Area Manager back in 2006 for a JCAHO Accredited healthcare staffing company. Seventy Five percent of our business was facility nurse staffing (RNs and LPNs) and the other twenty five percent was senior home care. I quickly grew very fond of doing in-home assessments for seniors and their families as well as working with our Director of Nursing (whose priority was 95% homecare). After a few years the company was bought out, I was laid off, and learned about healthcare mergers the hard way. Since then I helped open three franchise branches (two of which were senior home care franchises), helped put two existing/failing franchises back on their feet, and worked with a pediatrics group overseeing the billing, daily census, adoptions, and team building for some of the largest pediatric hospitals in the Southeast.     OVER THE YEARS I have done a lot with Senior Care franchises (For both Franchisors as well as Franchisees). From in-home assessments, hiring and training internal staff and caregivers, writing procedures and job descriptions, marketing, giving educational seminars at Senior Living facilities, to representing particular Franchises at national conferences, you name it I've done it.     BUSINESS KNOWLEDGE and WISDOM comes from hands-on experience. I started out delivering medical equipment and training other employees. From there I worked for a local staffing company as a Staffing Coordinator. I eventually became Sales Manager then moved onto another company as the Branch Manager. After a year or two I became an Operations Manager. Wanting more for my career, and honestly burnt out from the saturation of light industrial staffing companies in Atlanta, I was given the opportunity to excel in Healthcare Management. From almost every role in the business side of healthcare to President of my own company, I enjoy speaking with and training individuals to exceed company objectives. I have worked with, trained, and learned from a wide scope of professionals in multiple industries (primarily healthcare).
