As Director of Market Services for the West Region, I manage all California ISO (CAISO) Scheduling Coordinator (SC) functions for a portfolio that includes:• Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)• Paired Resources (Both Hybrid and Co-Located) • Dispatchable renewables (solar and wind), • Proxy Demand Response (PDR) resources (Both C&I and Residential) • Small hydro • Biomass • Direct Access Load Serving Entity (LSE) Asset Optimization - Serve as the business lead informing the development of the CES Energy Storage and Paired Resource optimization platform (GridBOOST) and advise clients on energy storage participation in the CAISO market. My responsibilities extend to forward procurement for CES clients seeking to hedge or meet forward capacity and/or renewable procurement obligations. Consulting - Advise clients on regulatory policy activity in California with a focus on the CAISO and provide general consulting services in all aspects of the market including asset optimization, Resource Adequacy (RA) capacity, Congestion Revenue Rights (CRR), Renewable Portfolio Standards (RPS), settlements and emerging technology participation in the wholesale market for Non-generator Resource (NGR), Demand Response, and Distributed Energy Resources (DER). Business Development - Actively working on business development across all of the various business lines CES currently provides in the West including Generation Scheduling/Management, Retail Services, Congestion Management, Renewables, Settlements, Demand Response, and Emerging Technologies.

While I reported to the VP of Long Term Power Trading, my primary role at SENA was serving as Project Manager for the implementation of the CAISO nodal market (Known as the Market Redesign and Technology Upgrade (MRTU), responsible for all aspects of the CAISO MRTU implementation including; Development, testing, and implementation of scheduling, trading, deal capture, and settlement systems.I worked with contract, legal, and regulatory staff to draft new contracts for trades, intertie transactions, and physical power deliveries accounting for the transition from a zonal bi-lateral Day Ahead market to the nodal market design. Advised on Western States Power Pool (WSPP) amendment for hub trades and Scheduling Coordinator (SC) agreement language, incorporating new SC functions related to new market/settlement timelines. I worked with long term, cash, DA, and RT traders, in addition to origination/marketing groups to develop overall West Region power trading strategies.I participated in CAISO market simulations testing scheduling / bidding of generation, load, and Intertie energy/capacity, submission of inter-SC trades, validation of settlement logic, and revisions to the deal capture system. I performed the nominations for the initial Congestion Revenue Rights (CRRs) annual/monthly allocation and bid in the first annual auction.Represented Shell in various stakeholder forums.Represented the western region on internal SENA national executive IT steering committee
