I love helping empower others to do the same.I am a Cybersecurity Architect with 20 years of experience, 11 in enterprise information systems in particular. My formal education and experience as a technical lead began in military service and have prepared me to fill many roles. This well-rounded background allows me to consider both the near-term and strategic impacts to the business's and customers' goals when making decisions or providing inputs.I obtained my CCDE in May 2018, my CCIE Route & Switch in December 2013 and CCIE Security in April, 2016. I also hold several relevant industry certifications, most notably the GIAC Security Expert (#339) and 11 GIAC certifications on both the red and blue side of the cybersecurity fence.Current obsessions: System and security architectures, open-source tools, application of frameworks (NIST CSF, MITRE ATT&CK, CIS CSCs, etc.), cyber threat intelligence, adversary emulation and behavior, NTA/NDR (detection) tools, XDR outcomes, and security integrations.
