Hi! My name's Mike Melanson and I'm a Montreal-based Animator and Storyboard Artist. My preferred medium for creating stories is 2D animation but I'm always working to expand my craft and explore other venues. I received a grant in 2023 to produce an original 2D animated short which is currently in production. I love writing comedy, drama, action, adventure and horror stories with a focus on strong characterization. In 2022, I was lucky enough to be named a semi-finalist in Ottawa International Animation Festival's Pitch THIS! competition for my prospective animated series, Big City Mech.
