Worked with GM, Ford and Chrysler to establish facility in Mexico to support GM containerization in Mexico. The plant in Mexico grew to annual sales volume of $16 million within three years from start up of plant in Mexico. Worked with engineers at many of the suppliers and OEM to create/ improve rack design for many containers; resulting in improved density, cost reduction and overall enhancements to form, fit and function of containers.

Material Planning & Logistics ManagerRenaissance Global Logistics - Ford Export Jun 1994 - Mar 2001During my tenure with RGL as Material PLanning and Logistics manager, I took several college classes through Eastern Michigan University to obtain more knowledge and understanding of the manufacturing process. Course and study included: certified six sigma green belt, Lean Manufacturing, Ford Production System, Advanced Quality Planning, Value Stream Mapping, Project Based Management, Failure Mode Efffects Analysis, Synchronous Material Flow, Logistics Route Optimization. Through diligent study and analysis of internal processes within our plant: I was able to identify process improvements which led to improved overall cubic density in ISO containers shipping to Venezuela, Brazil, Argentina, Australia, South Africa, Japan. The avg cubic density of ISO containers improved from 46 cubic meters to 54 cubic meters. We were shipping average 53 containers daily to various international locations. This process improvement resulted in over $2.5 millions annually cost reduction. Other process improvements achieved were in Warehouse management, expendable steel rack (ESR) ordering process, reduction in overall damage to ESR containers $750,000 annual cost avoidance. Received Six Sigma Green belt certification from Ford Motor Company as recognition for major process improvements and cost reduction initiatives
