Combining the two things I love has set me on this path, bringing more awareness to the entire experience of food and eating - from farm to table. My vision is to shift Canada’s food system through expanding knowledge, all while helping people find their own personal path towards optimal physical and mental health.When not teaching yoga, or running Mindful Eating workshops, I've worked as a Culinary Consultant for some of Canada’s largest food retailers. I’ve been in the food service industry for 20 years, with over a decade in the corporate world as a recipe developer and tester. Dozens of my recipes are in every grocery store across Canada; label recipes on all Campbell’s soups and broths, product packaging recipes on Walmart Canada’s Great Value and Our Finest product lines, and countless President’s Choice, No Name and Black Label products from my time as the Supervising Chef of the Loblaw’s test kitchen. This work has required me to have a deep understanding of the Canada Food guide, grocery costs, product availability, consumer behaviour and general level of culinary comfort. Thus, my recipes are precise yet accessible to all levels of cook. When developing recipes for the average Canadian consumer, I always trying to steer things in a responsible direction within the Canadian dietary guidelines.
