Wellington Local Aboriginal Land Council ➢ Daily management ensuring compliance obligations are met and policy and procedures are followed ➢ Submission writing, development of budgets and compliance with funding guidelines ➢ Financial management including bookkeeping, financial reporting, bank reconciliations, budgets and payroll ➢ Asset management, compliance with legislative requirements and staff supervision ➢ Administrative duties for Board and members meetings including production of notices of meetings, agendas and minutes ➢ Monthly and quarterly reports to the Board and funding body ➢ Rental housing management of tenants and properties

➢ Managing and implementing LLS projects and initiatives with Indigenous communities, rural land managers and industry groups, land management groups, community groups and various industry groups. ➢ Undertaking program and project reporting, mapping and monitoring and providing detailed updates and briefs to senior management. ➢ Performing field work exercises in Aboriginal communities such as inspections and assessments in all conditions and terrains. ➢ Leading and planning cross cultural educational and capacity building field days and workshops for Indigenous communities, land managers, community and industry groups. ➢ Providing natural resource management and agricultural productivity advice to Indigenous communities, land managers, stakeholders and clients consistent with the objectives of the LLS. ➢ Assisting with biosecurity projects and supporting emergency management and natural disaster responses. ➢ Interpreting and applying relevant legislation and policy and making appropriate determinations and recommendations. ➢ Managing projects and providing appropriate responses to Indigenous communities, external stakeholders and clients. ➢ Working with and balancing a range of conflicting and competing priorities and projects in a high workload and politically sensitive environment.
