Helped to develop and teach specific technical skills to engineers involved with Video systems (VOD, OTT, Content Management) and Cloud Computing Systems Key Achievements• Headed a team of cloud engineers who were supporting deployments of private Clou computing system for Docomo in Japan• Ran technical training classes on various VOD and Conditional Access systems (Arris/Cisco)• Provided Tenant Care Support and guidance for Mobility Tenants using the AT&T private cloudManage and E2E 5GC test lab running RedHat OpenShift and RedHat OpenStack for validation of Ericsson 5GC software we deliver to Verizon. • Instituted and directed the Technical Operations Organization for the largest commercially deployed VOD vendor at the time, with commercial deployments established with Charter, Insight, Comcast, and AT&T. This organization was comprised of Field Engineering, Network Operations, Help Desk/Call Center, System Staging and System Test and Integration facilities.• Managed and performed full VOD system integration projects from initial design inception to final system-wide deployment. Customers including Insight, Charter, AT&T, Media One, and Comcast.• My field engineering group was responsible for the design, installation, integration, and deployment of more than 50 commercial VOD systems nationwide.• Responsible for increasing commercial Video-On-Demand system uptime to 99.97%.• Provided all levels of technical support to field engineers, network operation center engineers, customers, and internal engineering and test personnel.• Developed, wrote, and approved technical documentation, procedures and training materials for both DIVA and third-party products.• Managed new HW/SW release verification, full system functional test, beta test implementation, full release roll-out planning, scheduling, and execution, internal and external technical training for new release features and bug fixes.• Managed and supported national and international trade shows and live system demonstrations.• Maintained a full working knowledge of third-party products and the operation of those products, imparting that knowledge to internal engineers and external customers, including troubleshooting, repair, bug fixes, etc.
