Lifetime spent growing plants, both as a hobby and as a profession. Trained as a Botanist and Ecologist under the guidance of Dr David Bellamy at Durham University, and thereafter as an Agriculturalist. Loves teaching others how to improve plant growth, especially to increase crop yields in both temperate and sub-tropical environments. Has specialised in legumes, and in the intercropping of sugarcane with vegetables. Since returning to UK in 2001 has researched the use of composted municipal waste on commercial agronomist and horticultural crops. Dedicated teacher of adult education : Teaching English as a Foreign Language; Tutoring undergraduates and post-graduate students in Agricultural Business Management; Editing Dissertations and Theses; Training Agricultural Extension staff using adapted practical research results.
