Employed as Rig Delivery Superintendent / Operations Manager for 1,500 Heli-transportable Rigs; where my role encompassed but was not limited to: Operational Responsibilities:• Manage field operations and activities including drilling operations, start-ups, rig moves;• Control rig operating costs, manage budgets and assist with the planning of OPEX and CAPEX budgets;• Direct rig personnel in pre-planning upcoming projects to ensure planned and unplanned tasks are completed effectively and safely;• Maintain competent and capable rig crews and provide leadership to foster a "safety-is-a-value" culture;• Ensure supervision and personnel performance are monitored and communicated to rig crews through verbal and performance appraisals;• Ensure equipment repair and returns are monitored, expedited and certification requirements are met;• Implement and ensure compliance with company and client Quality, Standards, Procedures, Safety, HSE, Operations, Maintenance and Human Resources policies;• Liaise with the client's representatives to ensure execution of contract obligations;• Perform audits and rig inspections in accordance with company and client operational standards.Rig Refurbishment Project Responsibilities:• Manage refurbishment, upgrade and mobilization of two 1,500 HP heli-transportable rigs imported from Brazil for operations in Papua New Guinea;• Develop and implement rig design improvements with client, company and supplier personnel;• Develop and monitor CAPEX and provide weekly and monthly forecasts to Operations, Contracts and Finance departments;• Develop project supply chain structure and monitor supplier design, fabrication, QA and delivery schedules;• Work with Operations department on equipment development, fabrication and maintenance program;• Liaise with PNG management during daily telephone conferences;• Perform audits and rig inspections in accordance with company and client operational standards.

Employed as Rig Manager for 300,400, 600 and 750 HP Land Rigs; where my duties comprised of but were not limited to:• Manage rig operations and activities including drilling, start-ups, and rig moves;• Plan and direct rig equipment utilization for projects and coordinate rig moves;• Manage rig paperwork and prepare work orders to maintain equipment and upgrades;• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures on rig;• Support the company’s HSE policies and procedures and monitor sites for safety violations to proactively prevent accidents;• Set goals and objectives for rig personnel and monitor performance;• Assist in the interview process for hiring, promoting, approve transfers or discharges and approve training for rig personnel;• Manage rig refurbishment projects;• Assist Purchasing, Safety, Human Resources and Maintenance departments;• Review and discuss rig operations reports.
