Lead the restructuring and expansion of Ameren’s Digital Analytics function to deliver insights to both internal and external customers and stakeholders. Managed functions including data warehousing, ETL development, data architecture, data quality, and data governance. Lead a department of 35+ individual contributors and managers.Drove Ameren’s $15MM initiative to create a next-generation analytics cloud environment- Established relationships with executive leadership and across business units, driving alignment of disparate analytics functions across Ameren on an analytics strategy and roadmap, including strategic focus areas such as asset health, grid management, and customer experience.- Finalized environment architecture, defined use cases, determined user personas, championed as-is vs. to-be use cases across key analytics stakeholders and user communities.- Evaluated, purchased, and implemented tooling to facilitate ETL development, data quality and data governance in the analytics cloud environment.- Restructured the existing ETL and BI centers of excellence organizations into vertically-aligned agile teams.Developed and executing a multi-phased roadmap to establish Ameren’s enterprise data governance program - Implementing a robust data privacy policy and data governance framework for customer, employee, shareholder and vendor data in partnership with the Cybersecurity GRC organization to identify and reduce data risk.- Mapped out and evaluated end-to-end data flows of customer data within Ameren and to and from 3rd parties.- Defining key governance artifacts including policies, procedures, use cases, data quality criteria, business glossary, taxonomy of data, data dictionaries and business rules.- Identified a $1.2MM cost savings opportunity to partner with Ameren’s Digital Field Experience team to enhance asset management.
