From 1997-2002 was the Pitching Coach at Oakton. Was awarded the College Coach of the Year Award by the Pitch and Hit Club of Chicago in 2003 after leading the team to a 41-11 record.

During the 2002 season served as 3rd base coach and bench coach. In the 2003 season served as the Pitching Coach, and in 2004 was the 1st base coach and Player Acquisition Coordinator.

Founded the Chicago North Mens Senior Baseball League beginning with the 1987 season. Began the league with 4 teams in Northbrook, Illinois and expanding each year before moving to California in 1990. The league continued to grow into one of the largest mens baseball leagues in the United States.
