Pricing is a topic that elicits considerable emotion and debate, as sellers try to achieve the perfect balance between margin, market share, and customer satisfaction, while buyers strive to find the perfect deal and pay as little as possible. Equally contentious is the challenge that each business faces as it selects the projects that will receive limited investment dollars, relying on a prioritization based on each project’s expected contribution/return within its business plan. This is why pricing, business planning & analysis, and their combined impact are critical to a company’s success. From my initial days at Xerox as a financial analyst and then rising through the ranks of equipment management and global pricing, it was soon clear that by focusing on the development of pricing strategy, R&D business case evaluations, and large/strategic account opportunities for our emergent game-changing portfolio of products, long-term results would be achieved. I was especially pleased to play a leadership role in effecting pricing for the DocuTech and iGen product families as they were essentially redefining the divide between the paper and digital worlds, black & white and color, and creating the market for Print On Demand. Over the next 8-10 years, with responsibility for setting price levels that governed the generation of multi-billion dollar revenues and profits for the U.S. major selling channels (Large Enterprise Operations, Agent Partners, and Graphic Communication Operations), I was twice honored with President’s Club recognition. It has been an outstanding run with Xerox and I now look forward to bringing my strategic pricing, business planning, and analytical expertise to a company similarly focused on optimizing profitability and year-over-year growth to drive the business plan forward.Core Competencies: Profit/Performance Optimization Multi-Million Dollar Negotiations Independent Decision-Making Lean Six Sigma Green/Yellow Belt Certified
