Spearheaded the creation of a FinTech QA team from the ground up for Verifone, showcasing leadership by assembling and managing a remote team in India during COVID-19. Developed processes, quality standards, test cases, and test infrastructure, Group was up and running in less than six months and was highly effective, overcoming all the COVID obstacles and radically reducing defect escapes to the field. Established a System Integration and Test team in Atlanta, focusing on end-to-end testing of POS systems and replication of customer issues. Oversaw and project managed the entire testing program from requirements to UAT, utilizing Jira for bug tracking and agile sprint planning, effectively serving as the primary liaison with customer QA labs and ensuring the seamless execution of test plans in alignment with strategic objectives.

Hired to manage onsite test programs and Offshore Design Center software developers, in a group focused on using 3rd-party software. Set budgets and schedules for test and maintenance, developed test case management flow in Jira, developed system test program for TiVo project, worked with customers to provide Level 3 tech support. Recently became “Software Development Lead” for three programs, replacing the project manager and managing all development budgets and schedules. Sole system test engineer for Indoor Simulated Marksmanship Trainer, a video-based interactive tactics and weapons trainer for the US Marine Corps. Authored the system test strategy, and wrote the Factory Acceptance Test in Jama and Word in accordance with the Marine’s Statement of Work and extensive Meggitt system requirements, in alignment with the “V-model” of test. Created 100% test coverage and traced all test cases to requirements in Jama (tool similar to HP ALM / Quality Center).. Developed the schedules in coordination with program management and the Agile development team, defined the test lab environment and protocols, supervised the test team, created the test cycles in Jama, and produced reports on results and errors found (Jama/Jira/Word/Excel). Hired again by ARRIS to provide primary on-site representation for digital set-top system product rollout at VTR, in Santiago Chile. Authored the End-to-End test strategy and high-level test plan for this program. Formed and led highly effective team of eight engineers responsible for developing test cases and testing set-top box applications and firmware. My team was responsible for testing multiple hardware platforms (~40), and multiple vendor application combinations, in various deployment environments. Hardware platforms included Core and Advanced DCT/DCX set-tops, DTAs, and media streamers, running a mix of SDV implementations. Rovi, Microsoft, Seachange, Arris, Ericsson, and Motorola applications were tested in multiple configurations.• Scoped projects, set schedules, prioritized tasks and consistently hit milestones in dynamic environment. Project managed the release of 100+ firmware packages, deployed to millions of Motorola STBs, across dozens of cable systems. No major bug ever escaped my test team.• Led the integration and progression test of Rovi iGuide and Passport applications with Motorola firmware. Implemented new test strategy with Rovi, reducing effort 80%, with no reduction in quality.
