CRE for several ongoing Bailey Rail projects, including: PA/VA renewals at Waterloo, Victoria, Charing Cross and Liverpool Street stations, GSM/R FTN project for Network Rail, Birmingham New Street Phase 1 and the SISS project for London Midland.For all of these CRE roles Mike has been approved either by Network Rail or the relevant train operating company (TOC), and his responsibilities include design vetting and management, multidiscipline engineering management and design verification. The role also requires a great deal of client facing and liaison with both suppliers and contractors.Lead design engineer/project engineer for the installation of Customer Information Systems (CIS) and CCTV at 85 First Capital Connect station sites. In addition the project was expanded to cover replacement of over 200 displays which had to be undertaken without any station closures or passenger disruption, on the busiest lines in the UK. Role involved project management, full design and survey, system integration, supply chain management and client liaison.Lead design engineer for CIS, CCTV and PA installations on over 30 stations across the Northern Rail network. Projects were joint funded by Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Executive (GMPTE) and the Department for Transport (DfT), and involved client liaison, system integration and supply chain management in addition to design. Lead design engineer and implementation for CIS systems for over 25 station sites for Merseyrail. Project involved full design from specification through to final implementation and handover. Roles included client liaison, supply chain management in addition to design.Mike was part of Bailey Rail’s MFAS Programme team, responsible for delivering CIS, PA/VA and CCTV installations at some 120 stations across the UK rail network, primarily in Wales, East Anglia, the Midlands and North West. .
