Senior Project Manager in the Siemens Mobility UK Digital Trackside signalling team delivering the latest generation of Railway Signalling technology within the UK. ECDP Tranche Leader - currently working within a joint Network Rail and Industry leadership team in the East Coast Digitilisation Programme I am responsible for the successful delivery of two of the four tranches of the overall work. These tranches will deliver a fully digital railway over the first one hundred miles of the East Coast mainline through the optimized and co-ordinated delivery of the next generation of ETCS signalling, both trackside and onboard, and an industry wide business change and driver training programme. Prior to this I established the internal programme for the development of the engineering capability to deliver the next generation of railway signalling for the UK for use within ECDP. From Feb 2019 to May 2020 I was the Senior Project Manager for the delivery of ETCS Level 2 signalling within the Thameslink High Capacity Infrastructure project, including the entry into service phase.

Responsible for delivery of multiple concurrent Railway Control Systems Projects across the UK with values at up to £5M. Key responsibilities include:- Control Systems lead for Thameslink- Ownership of outputs, success, costs and margin.- Engaging with key customer and internal stakeholders.- Risk management- Safety leadership- Supporting bids and tender development- Business Development- Management reporting.

My responsibilities include: •Manage the offshore design capability for the UK signalling business. •Develop and implement standardised and simplified processes to ensure an effective interface between the business units and the offshore design office. •User champion and project manager for engineering software tool development.•Contribute to the ongoing development and continuous improvement of off-shore design capability. •Accountable for the delivery of work packages to specification meeting the project objectives within the agreed timescales and budget. •Interface with functional management to define and mobilise the necessary resources required for the execution of the work package. •Manage progress to programme, and budget and maintaining a high level of utilisation. •Establish a process to monitor and report work package progress and status and manage this reporting. •Ensure that appropriately skilled employees are attracted, retained and motivated in the offshore locations. •Manage the capability and develop plans to continually improve capability of offshore resources to enhance their service delivery.

Championed the user need within the delivery team and ensured common understanding of the military context across the project team, industry partners, customers and sponsors.

Dissertation explored the factors effecting private sector decision making around cyber security within the critical national infrastructure.Attended British Army Intermediate Command and Staff course, awarded prize for technology.

Developing and delivering insurgent and environmental pre deployment training to all UK Army deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. Briefing a wide range of organisations, ranging from very senior officers to hundreds of soldiers. Collation and analysis of strategic, operational, tactical and open source intelligence to ensure the most current and pertinent information was available to those deploying.

Supported international defence diplomacy though partnered military training across eastern Europe and central Asia. Managed teams of up to ten senior instructors, budgets, resources and partner relations to ensure successful delivery of training and outsourced support.
