Current Job DescriptionI currently work in an out patient setting: The Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorder Center Practice, at VCU's Neurological Orthopedic Wellness Center.I assist patients and families with ongoing needs over the course of progressive, neurodegenerative disorders. The treatment goals are directly linked to patient/family goals, such as maintaining dignity and quality of life while making Advance Care Planning decisions.Adjustment issues, Depression, Anxiety, along with end of life issues are common in this population. I strive to meet the patient and family where they are, and assist towards identifying and adjusting goals, and assist with understanding their medical and neurological conditions.In this role, everyone is my client, this includes parents, children, siblings and others supporting my primary patient.
