And now, I have cut that love-note cord.To settle the clamor from media and celebrity that my departure created, I offer some justification. I was attracted away from paid performance by a list higher reward activities. Due to family pressure, I removed the highest naturally rated reward, ‘nothing,’ from the top of the list. The debate for the remaining items is whether I should include fiction journaling among the more certain avocations of fishing, hunting, family history, and grandparent conceits. I do stop momentum occasionally to review offers for part-time remote work involving documentation within technical disciplines, most especially information security. I reject some offers, as with the Nigerian Prince Cybercurrency Recovery Initiative, and the Church of What's Happening Now.I’ve enjoyed these past years; the people, the work, and the many exchanges with most major global and regional telecommunication players, providing public-facing security profiles, interviews, security assessments, and audit assertions. There has been much congeniality among smart people that cared to socialize, and at times they included me anyway. It’s uplifting to attempt peer respect among co-workers skilled at collaboration within long- and short-term projects, assessing, managing, and clarifying high availability technologies and market leading product management. They were trusted, where possible, to separate fact from fiction, otherwise to align one to resemble the other.Who would not be amplified by association with these subject matter experts that have won authorization to promote a leading company’s interests? These efforts include planning/testing of DR/BC/Incident landscapes, mapping governance, risk, and compliance/audit readiness practices, PCI, SOC, HITRUST and NIST/FedRAMP preparation, user access re-certification, vendor integrity reviews, as well as standardizing processes.
