Oversee production operations at Oriskany, NY facility.· Direct several Supervisors and 114 hourly employees including assigningtasks, management and scheduling of labor, employee evaluations, facilitatemeetings, training, develop operation procedures, assure a quality product, andaid in the research and development in the design of transit buses.· Currently active in the new product launch representing production andemphasizing labor and cost reductions.· Strong 24 years experience as Operations Management.· DFM (Design for Manufacturing) implementation for a new product launch.· Continuing Role in the Continuous Improvement of the plant and operatingsystem.· Special Projects Leader for any and all issues that affect an on time deliveryand labor efficiency. This would include internal and external charge backs.· Good knowledge of raw materials, production processes, logistic processes,quality control, costs, and other techniques.· Strong coaching, training and communication skills.

Constant coordination with Design Engineering Managers, Purchasing,Material Coordinators, Project Management, and EXCOM (Managers andDirectors).· Review all engineering/prototype changes for impact to production/build/logistics/materials. Approve or reject as appropriate.· Determine assembly/production start based on information from all relativedepartments (Supply Chain , Manufacturing Eng, Contracts)· Inform Production/R&D of intended production/assembly dates.· Completeness checks of technical documents / bus descriptions. EIC s to becomplete and on time.· Maintain issues list and assign tasks as required to ensure efficient productionrun.· Pilot Product Facilitator- lead initial build operations for all new product orders· Customer Liaison for several orders.

Supervise 64 employees to include welders, offline build up, and lineassemblers.· Responsible for AMP - After Market Parts assemblies.· Approve Payroll· Ensure Quality· Read and interpret installation drawings.· Provide direction/resolutions to hourly.· Communicate production status of responsible area to Production Manager.· Conduct performance reviews.· Communicate with support departments to resolve issues.· Project manager on several models and generations of products.· Frequent interaction with customers and inspectors.
