Born and raised on the southside of Chicago in an area called Beverly, my roots run deep in the community, and I am very proud of where I grew up. The one thing that makes me tick in my daily life are the relationships I built with the people around me. My family and friends are the most important thing in my life. They are truly what pushes me to be great everyday and I am blessed to have such a great support system around me. In terms of my work career, I found a great opportunity with the Chicago White Sox organization. I wanted to get into sports and was lucky enough to work for my favorite team. Here, I learned the meaning of sales and where to focus my efforts to become successful. After 9 wonderful years, I decided to pivot a bit and take a new career path in the technology space. I was fortunate to land at LinkedIn and, later, DocuSign. It was here where I learned what the software sale was all about, what team selling can do for the success of a sales organization, and the impact I am capable of creating if I put my mind to it. Unfortunately, I was part of restructuring lay offs at both of these great workplaces. This is in no way a reflection of the incredible talent that their employees possessed, it was a reflection of how LinkedIn and DocuSign were evolving the business to better support their members and customers.As I search for a new role, I wanted employers to know "Why Me" and "Why Now". First and foremost, you will get someone who cares about his work and those I work with. I love winning, but hate losing so much more. My competitive nature gives me relentless energy to continue to meet and exceed my goals. In my last role, I learned something new about myself. It's how much I enjoyed mentoring and coaching as a sales leader. I have always pictured myself as a coach of some kind because I noticed that I have a calming force on people, I am able to seek out the positive in any situation, and my passion for igniting people to achieve their goals held true in the way I showed up each morning. As a manager, I want to be a part of the journey of someone’s success both through teaching and learning with them as a support.
