Broadcom acquired the VLSI design services business I founded. Within the organization, I defined a new design process and software system enabling early, successful execution of systems-on-a-chip (SoC) development.• Co-architected and coded an in-house CAD system that tied together geographically disparate business units and various engineering processes into the largest scale ICs ever developed. The new system introduced automation, revision control, repeatability, and trackability. Additionally, the solution facilitated individual process innovations company-wide, effectively ‘crowdsourcing’ software engineering improvements.• Led integration teams for several of the company’s first of kind products, including the single-chip cable modem and set-top box. Managed technical staff, provided engineering support and bore ultimate responsibility for schedule.

Founded a business process optimization consultancy architecting VLSI design flows and developing software systems for top semiconductor companies including Broadcom, Connexant, etc.• Technical project management of teams typically comprised of 10 to 15 engineers; always on an aggressive schedule.• Bridged engineering inter-disciplinary communication gap through software programming and process flows, resulting in improved productivity and process predictability.• Account development and sales of engineering services.
