Mike Sanchez is PacTec’s President of the Nuclear Division, with overall responsibility for growing the company’s nuclear business, both domestically and internationally. Mike has been with PacTec for over 30 years and has worked in virtually all aspects of the company’s business. Mike has been awarded 8 US Patents, 2 United Kingdom Patent, and 1 Canadian Patent, as one of the inventors of the LiftPac bag, a flexible package which meets the IAEA requirements for an IP1, IP2, and Type A package for the storage, transportation, and disposal of VLLW and LLW, and our MacroBag for the macroencapsulation of LLMW. Mike led the initiative to move PacTec into the low level radioactive waste packaging business in the early 2000's, and is now leading the expansion of PacTec’s business into the United Kingdom, Europe, and elsewhere. PacTec EPS Ltd, the UK subsidiary, was formed under Mike’s leadership. PacTec EPS was established in 2010, and is now fully staffed and trading in the UK.PacTec also has a major manufacturing and package fabrication facility, along with a sales office in the Philippines at Subic Bay, which Mike has responsibility for coordinating with other PacTec activities, including the UK operations. The Philippines facility also serves the Asian markets as required.Other of Mike’s responsibilities are product costing, business plan development, marketing and sales management, client training, and staying current on DOT packaging requirements.Mike was educated at Louisiana State University, majoring in Business, with a specialization in Marketing. He also completed a Harvard Business School program in Business-to-Business Marketing Strategy, focused on European markets.
