Supervised four assigned instructors and up to three guest instructors in the certification of 32 entry-level Special Forces Snipers annually. In addition to entry-level Special Forces Sniper training, I supervised assigned instructors in the development, deployment, & execution of Pre-Mission Training in support of named operations. Revamped the 1st Special Forces Group Sniper Course Program of Instruction (POI) by lengthening the course to six weeks to include both aerial platform and urban live fire exercises to better match the Level I POI taught at Ft Bragg, NC; incorporating updated wind formulas; and developed and supervised a multi-day live fire culmination exercise in both urban and rural environments with rotary wing infiltration, role players, and reactive targets that replicated the breadth of mission sets 1st SFG(A) snipers faced.Aside from the 6-week entry level sniper course, I developed and implemented a sustainment training plan for 144 assigned snipers, which included advanced training courses in aerial platform; rapid engagement techniques; and a one-week ballistic software course that enabled snipers to engage targets at ranges of up to 1,300 meters, providing a capability exceeding the current threat stand-off.Served as the subject matter expert during a combined U.S. SOF / Indian Army SOF sniper training event, providing expertise in sniper marksmanship and aerial platform sniping.
