I am a senior business executive with over 29 years of experience in healthcare, business operations, and law. I have a track record of collaborating with business teams, solving complex challenges, and driving growth in a changing marketplace. I hold a JD from Tulane University Law School and a BS in Finance from Louisiana State University. I am a member of the State Bars of Texas, New York, and Louisiana.Currently, I am an Owner and CEO of vCare Hospice, along with my partners John Powell and Barbara Petit. Our mission is to provide compassionate and quality care to patients and families facing life-limiting illnesses. We are currently expanding across South Carolina, but we remain open to other geographic areas as well. Previously, I was President and General Counsel of Schonberg Care, LLC, a family-owned assisted living enterprise. In this role, I led all facets of company operations and investment strategies, including overseeing a 9-figure acquisition in December 2021. Before joining Schonberg Care, I was an equity partner at Thompson & Knight LLP, a large law firm, where I cultivated deep expertise in high-stakes health-care, intellectual property, and business litigation. Throughout my career, I have been a strategic business partner and an advocate for those in my care, including community residents, patients, and clients.
