• Designed, installed, and qualified several multi-million-dollar flexographic web-based printing and die cut converting lines and production processes for growth in the consumer electronics marketplace.• Designed and implemented a robotic and manual assembly work cell for powered air purification hard goods, including line balancing operations to reduce takt time. Managed 2nd shift during initial training start up period.• Assisted in quick deployment of 4 disposable respirator production lines, overseeing several projects, improved material changeover, machine design and printing capability, increasing throughput from 400 PPM to 700 PPM of each line.• Developed improved die cutting and inspection process for 3M’s sponge business. Studied and specified improved die rule configurations and surface finishes on die rule, extending die life as it cut through abrasive material.

• Specified, installed, and qualified a fully automated robotic laser, converting work cell to convert barrier film product without damaging the chemical properties of the film.• St. Paul SME for converting of optical product in DMSD Asian facilities, managing relationships and assisting the US based product engineering teams to design more manufacturable products for Asia. • Developed and introduced laser converting technologies and capabilities to Asia factories for converting of optical products, allowing improved design yield and tighter tolerance capability than historical product converting capability across multiple products. • Scaled up, qualified, and managed a toll coating operation, producing optical film that had capacity constraints on internal equipment, enabling 3M to expand capacity of various very high-volume product families, driving growth among for multiple years.

• Developed roll to roll laser cutting capabilities for converting optical film into singulated layers, qualifying a laser vendor that could laser cut product to tighter tolerances than existing die cut process. Performed process capability studies and developed SPC programs to define, control and maintain qualified process.• Scaled up graphic overlay screen printing production line, resulting in a 20% yield increase over previously purchased products, including quality specifications for ink formulation, printing (UV and solvent), curing and laser cutting.

• Technical lead for the start up manufacturing plant in Mexico, building selection, renovation, process layout, specifying, installing, and qualifying equipment and training operators for production startup.• Changed assembly lines from batch processing to a lean / flow style work cell.
